Bianca Nicole Barrera is a proud Austin native who began dancing at age three and has trained extensively and competed nationally with multiple studio teams. She was a five-year member of the Junior Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and a two-year officer for the Hays Highsteppers dance team. In 2015, she earned her B.A. in Dance with a minor in Business from Texas Tech University, where she performed with the University Dance Company and Flatlands Dance Theatre, and had the honor of performing at three American College Dance Festivals—where her senior choreographic work was selected for recognition by the university.
For the past nine years, Bianca has found a home at Alisa’s Dance Academy, serving in roles such as Academy Curriculum Manager, Toddler Program Director, and Student Teacher Assistants Director—dedicated to enhancing curriculum, building community, and enriching student experiences.

Her commitment to dancer development led her to create the Pre-Performance Program, designed to support aspiring dancers in their journey toward joining the ADA Companies. and served as Assistant Artistic Director of Austin’s Dance Elite from 2022–2024, where she worked closely with company-level dancers and honed her focus on choreography and advanced training.
In 2023, Bianca became the Director of the Protégée Program, Alisa’s Dance Academy’s pre-professional training track. In this role, she guides and mentors dancers with professional aspirations, supporting them as they pursue opportunities in college dance programs, conservatories, and professional careers.

A nationally award-winning choreographer, Bianca aspires to bring creativity, energy, and heart to every class—encouraging dancers not only to grow artistically, but to become kind, confident, and resilient humans. She believes in making the studio a space where hard work and fun go hand in hand—and where every dancer feels encouraged to reach for their fullest potential, both on and off the stage.
