Katherine is originally from St. Paul, Minn. She began her pre-professional training at Minnesota Dance Theatre under Lise Houlton. She became an apprentice with MDT in 2013, where she danced in works by Loyce Houlton, Lise Houlton, Elliot Feld, and Emery LeCrone, among others. She went on to finish her training at the School of American Ballet in 2014, where she originated roles by Dana Genshaft and Peter Walker, and she also performed in multiple ballets by George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins. While an apprentice with Ballet Austin, Katherine had the opportunity to dance in works by Stephen Mills, Michelle Thompson, Thang Dao, Paul Vasterling and Septime Webre. She has also originated roles in Jennifer Hart’s “Fellow Travelers” as well as “Murmeration” for Performa/Dance. This will be her first season as a company dancer with Ballet Austin.
