Hi! My name is Bailey Bartley and I am so excited to be a tap teacher this year! I have been dancing at Alisa's Dance Academy since I was in second grade and am now a senior in high school! I was drawn to Alisa's after watching the Nutcracker Spectacular for years, but I had no idea that I would eventually be an elite on ADE! Participating in the Nutcracker motivated me to get even more involved, so I joined MDC. After an amazing year of learning about what it took to perform and take class, I decided that I wanted to take it to the next level and devote even more of my time to dance, so I joined ADE! I have been on ADE since 4th grade and cannot believe that my time is already almost up! In middle school I finally got to join Protegee which was such an incredible experience. That program challenged me in various ways especially my year as an intern, but I had so much growth as a dancer and as a person! Middle school was when I truly discovered my love for tap. I have been competing tap solos the last 3 years and every year I collect a new pair of tap shoes! As I entered high school, I decided that I wanted to try out for Hyline! I've grown up in Westlake so I had been attending the football games many years prior. I never had much of an interest for football as a young kid, but I would never miss a half time show! Following my first year on Hyline, I auditioned for second lieutenant and am so blessed to have gotten that position! On top of dancing, I also enjoy volunteering in the nursery/nursing home, shadowing at hospitals, going to work at the Texas Rowing Center, going to the gym, swimming, going on the boat, babysitting and so much more! When I graduate high school I hope to major in nursing in order to become a NICU nurse! I can't wait for my first year of teaching at Alisa's and I'm so excited to do what I love with that people I love!
